What an A.E.C. is
An Attestation d'études collégiales (A.E.C.) is a Quebec college-level attestation — a recognized credential, not a diploma. This one, in Applied Artificial Intelligence & Data Science, is authorized by Quebec's Ministry of Higher Education and offered fully online and on site by Collège Unica.
How it works online
Fully online and self-paced — no fixed cohort calendar, start anytime. Each of the 530 hands-on classes pairs a guided AI tutor with a quiz, and the program is bilingual in English (en-CA) and Quebec French (fr-CA).

The 5-session path
Foundations of AI & Data Science → Data Engineering & Machine Learning → Deep Learning & Applied Machine Learning → Applied AI Systems & MLOps → Capstone Studio & Industry Deployment. 28 courses, 1,620 hours, ending in a defended capstone.
- 1
Session 1 · Foundations of AI & Data Science
Programming, mathematics, algorithms, statistics, and ethics — the fundamentals every applied AI practitioner needs before touching a model.
- 2
Session 2 · Data Engineering & Machine Learning
Build the data engineering and programming foundation for machine learning: applied mathematics, structured Python, and exploratory data analysis — alongside the professional French communication skills you'll use across every later session.
- 3
Session 3 · Deep Learning & Applied Machine Learning
Master the core supervised and reinforcement learning algorithms, then go deeper into neural networks and deep learning — the model-building toolkit that every modern AI system builds on.
- 4
Session 4 · Applied AI Systems & MLOps
Take models from notebook to production: cloud infrastructure, MLOps lifecycles, edge deployment, security, and AI product thinking.
- 5
Session 5 · Capstone Studio & Industry Deployment
A two-part capstone, an industry practicum, and a public demo day. Graduate with a defended portfolio and real production experience.
